A Day in the Life
Join our team as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for Medtronic’s Diabetes business, where your expertise will have a meaningful impact. In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment initiatives while acting as a trusted Talent Advisor to business leaders. Collaborate closely with hiring managers to design and execute tailored recruitment strategies that attract top-tier talent, aligned with the unique needs of our Diabetes business. Your efforts will be crucial in building and sustaining diverse candidate pipelines, sourced from internal, external, and referral networks, to support our mission-driven objectives.You will be part of a dynamic team whose impact extends beyond traditional boundaries. This is a remote role, with a strong preference for candidates located near one of our Diabetes business sites in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Northridge, California; or Duluth, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities:
Forge collaborative partnerships with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR teams to thoroughly understand talent requirements and synchronize recruitment strategies with organizational goals.
Collaborate with hiring teams to develop job specifications, define key competencies, and provide salary recommendations.
Serve as a trusted talent advisor, delivering insights on market trends, emerging skills, and talent pool availability to guide hiring decisions.
Proactively attract and source candidates through diverse channels, including job postings, social media, career fairs, networking, and agencies, to sustain a robust, diverse talent pipeline.
Utilize data-driven insights to identify top talent pools and engage both active and passive candidates for immediate and future hiring needs.
Conduct phone/video screening interviews to evaluate candidates qualifications, skills, and cultural alignment.
Analyze recruitment metrics and market trends to refine sourcing strategies and enhance hiring outcomes.
Collaborate with HR teams to ensure a seamless and efficient hiring and onboarding process.
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle, fostering long-term relationships with potential talent.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree with 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced corporate environment (or 2+ years with an advanced degree)
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with Medtronic.
Proven experience in developing and executing strategic hiring initiatives to attract top talent.
Experience recruiting for roles in R&D, IT, Quality, Clinical, and/or Regulatory Affairs.
Familiarity with employment regulations (EEO, AAP, OFCCP) and compliance requirements.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability in dynamic work environments.
Proficiency with digital recruitment tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday ATS).
Certifications or training in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Recruiting (e.g., SHRM-CP, AIRS).
