A Day in the Life

As a Sr. MDM Engineer you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, convert functional requirements into technical deliverables. The primary responsibility includes develop and implement comprehensive strategies for Master Data Management applications. You will collaborate with business partners, identify, and document IT system requirements for business change requests, perform efficient and effective analysis of system problems and manage the on-going maintenance of a MDM systems by coordinating with offshore counterpart.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

  • Develop an MDM architecture direction, bringing strategic thinking to define the long-term MDM implementation style such as a registry, consolidation, co-existence or transaction approach to MDM

  • Accountable for the technology and technical solutions for managing master data, including collecting, aggregating, matching, consolidating, quality-assuring, persisting and distributing such data throughout the organization with the goal of ensuring consistency, accuracy and control

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data governance, data standards and data management strategies and ensure the data accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across systems

  • Design the data model used in global MDM solution to accommodate multi domain architecture

  • Lead the team of ETL, MDM developers and Data Analysts to deliver the high-quality solutions as per the requirements

  • Integrate MDM with downstream applications using SOA based architecture using MDM BES services, SOAP and REST Webservices

  • Design the Architecture for Batch and Real time Ingestion of source data into MDM and publish to downstream systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL, MDM and any data related issues

  • Configure and implement data matching, merging, cleansing, survivorship, and standardization rules using Informatica MDM

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in IT Systems
    OR

  • Advanced degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in IT Systems
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on Projects involving large and complex IT systems in a health and human services or health care services Project

  • Experience overseeing or testing applications with multiple stakeholders/customers with varied business priorities and varying levels of experience with automation systems

  • Experience Implementing both On-Prem Informatica MDM and Informatica MDM SaaS IDMC

  • Worked on at least 3 end to end MDM implementations configuring the Hub, UI and creating composite web services (i.e., not as an ETL developer but as a true Hub configure)

  • Proven experience with Informatica tools, including a strong understanding of data model, configuration options, and APIs

  • In-depth knowledge of Informatica MDM (SaaS & On-Premises) including Hub, Informatica PowerCenter, CAI, CDQ or similar data integration tools

  • Strong experience in Cloud Application Integration (CAI) and Cloud Data Integration (CDI). Hands-on experience working with API design, development, and Integration using CAI

  • Experience with data modeling methodologies and data quality concepts

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good experience in MDM integration pattern (real time, near real time, batch)

  • Good to have domain expertise and ability to covert business requirements into scalable solutions

  • Hands on experience with cloud applications hosted on AWS

  • Excellent problem solving, communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with Medical Device industry or healthcare industry

  • Experience in implementing both Informatica on prem MDM solution and Informatica MDM SaaS IDMC

  • Hands-on experience across all major aspects of an overall MDM processes including Data Acquisition, Data Curation, and Data Syndication, Data Enrichment and knowledge of the Platform

  • Experience working on cloud modernization by migrating On prem solution to Cloud

  • Certification on AWS, Informatica MDM 10.4 and MDM SaaS is preferred

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$95,200.00 - $142,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
