A Day in the Life
Become part of a dynamic team responsible for training and educating our sales and clinical specialist teams in the field of cardiac ablation to treat arrhythmias, one of the most exciting and fastest growing areas of medical technology. As a part of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operating Unit (OU), you will play an integral role educating a key group of the organization, as the OU enters multiple new market segments and expands its portfolio with advanced technologies. The Senior Manager, Global Training & Education will lead the development, execution, and analysis of field training programs for internal commercial teams and our partner training professionals worldwide. This role oversees both content development and content delivery, ensuring that training initiatives drive product adoption, sales effectiveness, and clinical excellence in global markets.
This position has the potential to sit remote but will need to frequently travel to Mounds View, MN to participate in trainings.
Primary Responsibilities
Global Training Strategy & Execution
- Design, implement, and manage global field training programs for sales teams, distributors, and sales leaders.
- Align training initiatives with commercial, marketing, and clinical strategies to drive business objectives.
- Ensure consistent training methodologies and best practices across all global regions.
- Oversee the deployment of in-person, virtual, and digital learning experiences to support regional needs.
- Coordinate global Train-the-Trainer programs to enable field-based trainers and sales leaders.
- Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.
- Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Content Development & Learning Technologies
- Lead the creation and implementation of high-quality training materials, including e-learning modules, virtual simulations, hands-on workshops, and certification programs following the ADDIE model of adult instructional design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, R&D) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and relevance of content.
- Oversee the management of digital learning platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Articulate - Rise, SharePoint, Smartsheet and digital case observation forms etc.
- Innovate and incorporate new learning technologies to enhance engagement and knowledge retention.
Data Analytics & Performance Measurement
- Establish and track key training metrics (completion rates, competency assessments, knowledge retention, business impact) to measure program effectiveness.
- Leverage analytics from LMS and training platforms to optimize course content and delivery.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on training outcomes and areas for improvement.
- Implement AI-driven analytics tools to personalize and enhance learner engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the Physician Education team to create and implement new procedures, uphold high standards of quality, and boost team productivity.
The position requires expertise in training strategy, curriculum development, digital learning solutions, live and virtual training delivery, and analytics to measure training impact. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across regions and business functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Electrophysiology certification (RCIS or IBHRE)
- Experience with 3D Mapping and Navigation in electrophysiology procedures
- Experience in global training, commercial education, or learning & development within the medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience managing both content development and content delivery at a large scale
- Experience with instructional design, adult learning principles, and digital learning strategies.
- Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with external customers
- Hands-on experience with LMS, Articulate - Rise, SharePoint, and analytics tools.
