As the main Global Supply Management (GSM) contact for New Product Development (NPD) teams, the Technical Sourcing Program Manager oversees all external services, components, and assemblies for the NPD product BOM, ensuring supplier selection aligns with strategic roadmaps in Advanced Technical Sourcing, Advanced Development, and GSM.

As the Technical Sourcing Program Manager, you will act as the main liaison between the product development team and suppliers, ensuring supplier capabilities align with project needs to meet NPD milestones and timelines.
You will:
Partner with cross functional team members and suppliers to identify and plan GTS deliverables needed to support all phases of NPD program through commercial launch.
Lead Phase Gate and Transfer to Operations Reviews with stakeholders for each NPD phase.
Lead the identification, evaluation and selection of suppliers aligned to program objectives and sourcing strategies.
Optimize supply chain flow to drive cost savings and cycle time efficiency.
Ensure material costs and program budgets align with targets through supplier negotiations while influencing design and manufacturing strategies.
Oversee supplier DRM activities and drive early engagement with suppliers on NUDs (New, Unique, Difficult components).
Partner with Category Management and Legal to identify and create applicable legal agreements with suppliers.
Identify and own mitigation plans to burn down supplier and supply related BOM risks.
Act as the liaison between suppliers and the project team to drive oversight and resolution of supplier caused issues.
Manage product orders to ensure accurate quantities and configurations arrive on time for all program development stages.
Manage inventories in alignment with NPD inventory policies, program build needs and commercial launch plans.
Partner with Supplier Quality Engineering to drive PPAP qualification activities at the supplier.
Develop and oversee supplier capacity plans to ensure product availability after commercial launch.
Identify and capture future supplier cost down opportunities.
Partner with Category Management to ensure supplier pricing agreements are in place.
Oversee and support inventory and ERP production release activities.
Provide hyper-care support after commercial launch.
Support GTS department goals and initiatives.
Must-Have:
Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant technical and/or sourcing experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant technical and/or sourcing experience
Nice to Have:
High levels of experience working with suppliers, OEMs and contract manufacturers who focus on areas such as injection molding, stamping, thermoforming, packaging, electronics, plastics, metals and device assembly.
Proven Communication, Leadership & Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills, fostering effective collaboration within global teams.
Extensive experience in project management, including the development and launch of medical devices; PMI-certified professional.
Proficient in supplier management, negotiation, and overall supply chain processes.
Skilled in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies with expertise in Design for Reliability and Manufacturability.
Strong business understanding and the ability to influence objectives in a matrix organization.
Broad experience in manufacturing processes and material/component replacement initiatives.
Knowledgeable in design, production, and supplier-related efforts for medical device development.
Enthusiastic, motivated, and receptive to input from program and functional teams.
Willingness to travel: 10-25%
