The role: Merchandising Manager

The Minted Merchandising team is responsible for driving sales across our various categories. We work closely with design submissions from our talented community of artists, as well as data from our analytics team, to bring forth a fresh, balanced assortment to inspire our customers. This team is also responsible for ensuring the shopping experience in their category is seamless, and the quality of designs rendered on the site flawless, to ensure the best customer experience possible.

As a Merchandising Manager at Minted you will be responsible for managing one of our categories, driving the overall merchandising strategy and long-term growth of the category. You will work cross-functionally with virtually all teams at Minted, and will have a chance to work with and present to the C Suite. You Will:

  • Lead Merchandising Strategy and Execution:
  • Author merchandising strategy for total category and by subcategory, working closely with Category Management
  • Drive assortment process, from challenge to launch, utilizing data and analysis drawn from Minted’s unique crowd curation model, past business, and current trend
  • Present assortments and achieve buy in from VP of Merchandising
  • Develop online merchandising strategy. Collaborate and execute the online merchandising including filters, SKU organization and ranking, and optimizing the overall “shoppability” of assortments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to bring strategy to fruition
  • Drive actions through merchandising insights:
  • Analyze performance at the category, feature, and SKU level, cogently communicating strengths and opportunities to stakeholders weekly.
  • Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly merchandising reports and insights
  • Manage ATV, feature uptake, and conversion through constant and persistent product development and proactive in-season actions 
  • Initiate ad-hoc deep dives into analytics to understand category page performance and opportunities to drive conversion, feature uptake, ATV.
  • Maintain Merchandising Leadership in Stationery:
  • Closely monitor the competitive landscape and customer need, identifying growth opportunities and initiating action.
  • Partner with the Artist Relations team on recruitment, engagement and retention of artists for your category.

  • Quantitatively oriented and an analytical thinker. The ideal candidate loves data and is able to analyze a problem, use data to articulate a recommendation, and take action accordingly.

  • Results-driven, focused, and analytical. Outstanding follow-up, organization, and time management skills.
  • A passionate customer advocate. You are ready to put the customer first and influence others across the company to think similarly.
  • Excited to work in a collaborative team environment and are motivated to ask questions.

You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 3-6 years of work relevant experience in merchandising, buying, consulting, art & design and/or category management. Bonus is experience at a design-led retailer or in stationery. 
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • An intuitive understanding of not only what will sell, but also what constitutes truly differentiated and high-quality art and design.
  • A love for data and the ability to analyze a problem, using data to articulate a recommendation, and take action accordingly.
  • A clear understanding of financial retail measurements and how to impact them.
The compensation range for the role applies to employment offers from Minted. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees.

Geo Base Full Salary Range 0 - Includes SF Bay Area- $105,665-$138,685

This role is eligible for stock options.

Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, associated job responsibilities, and/or other business or organizational needs.
