Identify, evaluate, monitor, and manage counterparty credit risk associated with various sales and trading activities. Develop and execute regulatory and internal stress testing exercises. Identify drivers of stress testing results, and communicate results to senior management and governance forum. Engage with credit coverage and risk management teams regarding risk assessment for new transactions and risk reduction techniques. Execute the risk identification process for counterparty credit risk to inform scenario design. Work closely with Risk Analytics, IT, and Market Risk to drive improvements to the stress testing infrastructure.

 

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $136,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

 

Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the position offered or four (4) years as a Model Reviewer, Portfolio Risk Manager, Model Developer, Risk Analyst, Associate, Director, or a closely related occupation. Requires four (4) years of experience with: traded credit management for products that generate Counterparty Credit Risk including Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives such as Rates, FX, Credit, Equities, and Commodities; Capital Markets, Market Risk, and Enterprise Risk Management; regulatory requirements for Counterparty Stress Testing; Statistical Modeling; databases and working with large datasets via SQL; coding in R or Python; and MS Excel and VBA.
