Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Software Developer in Menlo Park, CA

 

 

Analyze, design and develop software solutions to meet business needs. Collaborate with internal and external technical personnel and vendors to facilitate enterprise software integration. Work on different software development life cycle phases and serve as a technology resource and representative for the department. Create technical documentation for software such as design documents, and handbooks. Perform code review and design review to ensure compliance with development standards. Assist with developing automated test cases and test plans for software. Review software requirements documentation for projects and enhancements. Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency and provide support for production issues.

 

Salary:

 

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $169,000.00 and $169,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

 

Requires a Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Software Developer, Technology Lead, or related occupation in the technology field.

 

Requires five (5) years of experience with: Java 1.8/ J2EE; Spring; Spring Boot; Hibernate; SOAP; RESTful Web Services, Oracle; Junit; Version control software including GIT; and Scrum/Agile Development Methodologies; Modern Queueing Platforms including AMQ/Rabbit MQ, Kafka; C/C++, Perl and Shell Script on Unix/Linux platforms. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Streaming Technologies including Kafka and Storm; Maven; Python; RDBMS Sybase; NoSQL including Elasticsearch and MongoDB. Requires any amount of experience with: Spark.
