Work on critical projects to transition from legacy framework to efficient modernized frameworks. Upgrade the existing core brokerage trading platforms to migrate away from monolithic packaging. Design, develop, and maintain large scale software projects for the retail trading systems. Produce detail design specifications from functional specifications and lead the implementation. Work on Modernization and EOL initiatives including DB migration and Private Cloud initiative. Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, and present technical ideas through white boarding. Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation. Contribute to designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Utilize expertise with build, release & deployment processes, and methodologies to apply firm approved tooling/principles/processes to achieve the target state of SDLC.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $155,535 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: C, C++, Perl, and Shell; Object-Oriented design and development; Databases including Sybase, and Oracle; UNIX/LINUX; Debugging tools including GDB, and Valgrind; Version control tools including GIT; Web Services protocols including REST, and SOAP; CI/CD tools including Jenkins; Putty. Requires four (4) years of experience with: Subversion; Cucumber. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Core Java; Insure++; CppUTest; bitbucket, and Jira; Eclipse. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Golang, JavaScript, Angular 4, HTML5, and CSS3; IDE tools including Code, and Brackets. Requires one (1) year of experience with: PHP; MySQL. Requires any amount of experience with: Python.
