Senior Risk Advisor
Wellington Office (Hybrid Role)
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate team at Marsh. This hybrid role requires working at least three days in the office.
As a Senior Risk Advisor, you will manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high-quality customer service. This may include self-servicing small to mid-sized client accounts under the supervision of Client Executives. You will also assist Client Executives in all aspects of client service, including face-to-face interactions, administration, technical support, and business development. This client-facing role offers an opportunity to enhance your insurance knowledge and client servicing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Client Executives in preparing, managing, and achieving business plans and goals.
- Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision-makers, monitoring changes within client organizations to protect the Company’s relationships.
- Take a proactive approach to account management and service delivery, ensuring client needs are met in line with service standards.
- Implement successful account retention and defense strategies.
- Stay informed about large and complex claims, assisting in negotiating equitable settlements on behalf of clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance offered by the Company and stay updated on new technical and product developments.
- Ensure timely and accurate production, processing, and delivery of client-related administration and documentation.
What You Need:
- Experience in fire and general insurance.
- New Zealand Certificate in Financial Advice (Level 5) or a commitment to obtaining it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of insurance and relevant legislation.
