The Role
We are looking for a seasoned, strategic event marketer to support our B2B marketing efforts across the US and Canada. You will be responsible for contributing to and executing individual events that support overall marketing plans, sales goals, and key messages —before, during and after events.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Netflix, have an event and strategic marketing background that includes developing and producing multi-channel event programs (in-person, virtual, and hybrid events) through solid positioning, messaging, project management, contract negotiations, and cross-functional relations, that ensures Netflix is positioned as the most loved and valued entertainment company in the world. A successful candidate will be a fast learner who is curious, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity and working independently, able to think strategically while focusing on details, and scaling high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and produce multi-channel programs through business messaging, event planning, project management, contract negotiations, and cross-functional relations, that ensures Netflix’s positioning in the marketplace.
Develop and review creative concepts for events, and work with marketing teams and internal/external partners to build and enhance programs.
Lead all aspects of event production including but not limited to creative design, location and vendor research/hiring/contract negotiation.
Leverage external data and insights to inform event strategy.
Deeply understand partners’ goals and metrics, building event solutions to capture and deliver on KPIs.
Share and scale assets and experiences, maximize efficiencies and cultivate new ideas that benefit programs cross-functionally and globally.
Foster feedback loop with cross-functional teams to continually measure event effectiveness. Define and refine event metrics as part of overall program effectiveness.
Evaluate and report on event success as part of overall business goals.
Oversee 360-degree event marketing strategies that include input from cross-functional teams and align with overall Netflix strategy and branding.
Manage large teams of cross-functional partners, third-party agencies, and vendors across complex events, fostering open communication and driving excellence in delivery.
Build, manage and reconcile budgets/invoices for large and complex programs. Ensure events are executed creatively and within agreed upon budgets.
Contribute to team-level goals and functional strategy.
Ability to travel frequently for events (up to 50%).
Qualifications:
10+ years of event marketing experience in the advertising, marketing technology, or media industry while working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
10+ years working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of today’s competitive advertising, media and marketing landscape.
Experience creating and executing interactive activations that effectively showcase Netflixs product offerings, with a proven track record of aligning these experiences with business objectives and demonstrating measurable results.
Experience concepting, programming and producing events of all sizes — from intimate C-level experiences, to large scale events – both Netflix-owned and industry-led.
Proven track record of delivering complex events on time and within budget.
Familiarity with delegate registration platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, Splash, etc.
Demonstrated project management skills of complex programs and large budgets.
Skills:
Highly-organized, self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and able to think creatively and quickly through a strategic lens.
Experience working well under pressure with tight deadlines, while managing multiple programs simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to define and express a strategic point of view.
Exceptional project management experience.
Experience working in close collaboration with agency creatives, designers, and producers on a variety of physical, digital and interactive projects.
Experience working across key sales and marketing audiences (agency, brand, direct response, developers).
Ability to work across various levels of the organization, while building trust and fostering collaboration.
A desire to learn and stay on top of emerging technologies and trends, consistently enhance programs, and bring new ideas to the table.

Flexible to working beyond conventional office hours, including nights and weekends.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000-$320,000.
