Nium is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Analyst (Qualified Accountant) to join our dynamic global finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, with expertise in financial reporting, analysis, financial modelling and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily activities including general ledger management, posting journal entries, recording accruals and prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with revenue recognition and expense bookings.
Contribute to monthly and annual financial reporting processes, variance analysis, and reporting tasks.
Analyse cash flow trends and perform cash forecasting.
Support the preparation of regulatory filings and ensure compliance with corporate tax and VAT requirements for our entities.
Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and assist in audit preparation and deliverables.
Draft policies and procedures and comply with the internal control framework.
Support ad-hoc tasks and finance projects as required

Requirements

An Accounting or Finance qualification at MQF Level 6 or higher, such as a Bachelor’s Degree or ACCA.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the Financial Services sector or prior experience at a leading global accounting firm focused on financial clients.
Solid understanding of IFRS, local tax laws, and regulatory frameworks. Experience with regulatory compliance and audit processes, will be considered a strong plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and use of accounting software.
Excellent analytical and detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach to improving procedures.
Team player having a results-oriented personality and a can-do attitude.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
