Nium is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Analyst (Qualified Accountant) to join our dynamic global finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, with expertise in financial reporting, analysis, financial modelling and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities including general ledger management, posting journal entries, recording accruals and prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with revenue recognition and expense bookings.
- Contribute to monthly and annual financial reporting processes, variance analysis, and reporting tasks.
- Analyse cash flow trends and perform cash forecasting.
- Support the preparation of regulatory filings and ensure compliance with corporate tax and VAT requirements for our entities.
- Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and assist in audit preparation and deliverables.
- Draft policies and procedures and comply with the internal control framework.
- Support ad-hoc tasks and finance projects as required
Requirements
- An Accounting or Finance qualification at MQF Level 6 or higher, such as a Bachelor’s Degree or ACCA.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the Financial Services sector or prior experience at a leading global accounting firm focused on financial clients.
- Solid understanding of IFRS, local tax laws, and regulatory frameworks. Experience with regulatory compliance and audit processes, will be considered a strong plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and use of accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach to improving procedures.
- Team player having a results-oriented personality and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
