The Opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Manager to lead Nutanix Kubernetes Platform UI team.  Our team is committed to building scalable and user-friendly interfaces that empower our users to make the most of our cloud-native solutions. In this role, you will lead the NKP UI team, which is responsible for designing and implementing user-centric workflows for our Nutanix Kubernetes platform. You will guide a team of 3-5 talented developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software, managing stakeholder communications, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. NKP UI team is a small, dynamic and results-driven group of skilled professionals who are passionate about building scalable and user-friendly interfaces. With team members across different geographies, we value diversity, collaboration, and innovation. We prioritize autonomy, work-life balance, and positive leadership, creating an environment where both individual and team growth are supported.

We have a diverse team that is split mainly between India and the US. We have a hybrid work model, where team members come into the office three times a week. This setup allows for both in-person collaboration and the flexibility of remote work.


Your Role

  • Guide and mentor a team of 3-5 developers, providing technical leadership and career development support. 
  • Balance management duties with hands-on coding, contributing to codebases as needed, and conducting code reviews to uphold development excellence.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment across the team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and ownership.
  • Design and develop user-friendly workflows for the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform, focusing on both current enhancements and future releases.
  • Manage and deliver product release payloads, ensuring timely execution and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable full-stack applications using modern technologies.
  • Champion cloud-native development practices, including microservices, containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the teams development processes, tools, and technologies. 
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and team workload to ensure the successful and timely delivery of high-quality software products.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager in a full-stack development environment.
  • Track record of managing a geo distributed team of 5+ engineers.
  • Over 10 years of experience in software development and 3+ years of management experience. 
  • Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and related frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-native technologies, particularly Kubernetes, and hands-on experience with Docker and related tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passionate about mentoring and developing team members to reach their full potential.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and a fast-paced, iterative development culture.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 158,400 and USD $ 316,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
