Overview As a Senior Data Scientist on the Program Analytics and Outcomes team, you will manipulate, analyze, and interpret complex data sources, including but not limited to healthcare claims data, clinical data, and digital engagement data. Your analytic approach will include a wide range of advanced analytics, such as the development of predictive models using machine-learning and mathematical analyses. The resulting insights will inform questions about the value of the Ontrak program to our customers and the members that we serve. To be successful in this role you will need at least 3 years of experience as a data scientist using python/R or similar development languages to drive statistical analysis. You should be comfortable using your expertise to recommend and execute appropriate analytical/statistical approaches to answering a range of business questions. Experience in the healthcare industry, including quantifying clinical outcomes and member/patient behavior utilizing disparate data sources is required. Essential Functions Become an expert in our various data types including, but not limited to health insurance claims, clinical data, digital engagement data, and operational data Identify and comprehend data relationships across various contributing sources. This includes developing and uncovering both direct and inferred data relationships to determine where rules can be defined and consistently applied. Additionally, implement strategies to optimize the efficiency and quality of data collection, normalization, and delivery Perform analyses to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques, mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the Ontrak organization and/or health care industry Investigate problems, detect patterns, and recommend solutions using advanced analytic techniques to improve efficiency and answer a wide range of business questions Using strong programming skills to explore and examine large volumes of data in various formats. Proficiency with using Python and SQL Understand how to identify, acquire, and utilize data sources to answer specify business questions Perform statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and generate automated reporting and creating data visualization stories as required to identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets Able to learn and evaluate new technologies Qualifications Education Required: Requires a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or closely related disciplines. Preferred: Ph.D. Equivalent: in lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
