Position Summary:
Do you have a deep understanding of Azure billing and enjoy resolving complex usage issues? If you’re experienced with Azure Cost Manager and arrears-based billing models, Pax8 is looking for an Azure Billing & Usage Investigation Specialist L2 to join our team!
What You’ll Do Every Day:
- Resolve advanced IAAS UI escalations, with a focus on Azure billing and usage scenarios.
- Work closely with our internal development team to address arrears-usage issues and ensure they are resolved efficiently.
- Act as an escalation point for high-conflict scenarios, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the resolution process.
- Proactively create and update knowledge-based articles to ensure your team has access to the latest resources and troubleshooting methods.
- Oversee project management tasks, maintain team accountability, and advocate for continuous improvement in workflows.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and address pain points, driving productive solutions that benefit the entire team.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Azure Cost Manager (ACM), with a strong understanding of month-over-month billing trends.
- Expertise in arrears-based billing models and how they affect usage patterns.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud cost filtration methods.
- Proven ability to handle escalations, manage technical challenges, and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong organizational skills, with a track record of maintaining clear, accurate documentation in ticket workflows.
What You’ll Achieve:
- Within 90 days, you’ll be proficient in our escalation workflows, have resolved key Azure billing issues, and contributed to our knowledge base.
- By 6 months, you’ll be leading key billing investigation projects, mentoring teammates, and improving our processes for addressing arrears-based issues.
- By 1 year, you’ll be recognized as an expert in Azure billing investigations, having established best practices that reduce escalations and improve partner satisfaction.

- You have a strong problem-solving mindset and work well in high-pressure situations, particularly in resolving billing and usage escalations.
- You are detail-oriented, with a focus on providing organized, clear solutions to complex billing challenges.
- You are proactive about staying informed and helping others by sharing knowledge and supporting your team’s success.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 related certifications (Azure, AWS, or similar) preferred.
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $57,000 to $71,000 or more depending on experience.
