The Director, Oncology Patient Solutions Strategy and Analytics plays a critical role within our Oncology Patient Solutions & Alliances (OPSA) team.   This role is charged with evolving our patient solutions strategy and leading our data and analytics function to draw insights in supporting strategy development and execution.

This role is responsible for managing data, reporting, and analytics workstreams across OPSA affordability and patient solutions platforms (in partnership with platform leads) and leading key strategic projects.  He or she will develop appropriate metrics and reporting, ensuring alignment with the team’s overall strategies and informing decision-making. This role will also work closely the Senior Director, US Patient Solutions Strategy Lead to enhance our patient solutions strategy in the context of a dynamic external environment and upcoming launches. 

This role will partner closely with the Field Reimbursement, Advocacy and Professional Relations, Specialty Access Solutions, and Oncology Commercial Analytics teams to regularly communicate insights and best practices, assess access-related metrics, and make data-driven recommendations. The Director reports to the Senior Director, US Patient Solutions Strategy Lead.   

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively participate in strategic projects that provide insight and direction on access, affordability, and the patient/caregiver experience.  Develop recommendations and translate strategy into action
  • Develop and execute approach to leverage data and metrics to shape strategies in enhancing patient access and affordability; manage data & reporting dashboards and metric reporting
  • Collaborate with other Pfizer teams, including Digital, Specialty Access Solutions, Oncology Commercial Analytics, and external vendors to explore additional data available based on ongoing business needs
  • Serve as analytics thought partner to Field Reimbursement, Advocacy and Professional Relations, and patient solutions platform teams (Pfizer Oncology Together, This is Living with Cancer) to help identify risks and strategic opportunities
  • Collaborate with franchise leads and brand teams to support the development for patient solution approaches, including for launch products
  • Partner across OPSA to support the annual operating plan and tactical planning cycles

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • At least 10 years of health care or pharmaceutical experience; including demonstrated experience working in functions related to data science, US market access, finance, strategy or marketing  
  • Strong understanding of US payer and market access landscapes, and ability to quickly grasp evolving dynamics within each landscape
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking skills, as evidenced by the ability to tee up the right questions, identify alternative scenarios, articulate resulting implications, and develop recommendations for decision-making or action
  • Ability to understand and translate market and competitive dynamics into strategic implications for patients, caregivers, customers, and brands
  • Ability to work with complex data sets; ability to perform both qualitative and quantitative assessments
  • Ability to distill complex topics into clear communications
  • Demonstrated project leadership, managing complex workstreams and large teams of cross-functional colleagues with varying backgrounds and skillsets
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize effectively

Work Location Assignment: Remote - Field Based

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
