Clinical Scientist – Image Guided/Endovascular Therapy (United States)

Take on an exciting role as the National Clinical Scientist for Philips Fiber Optic Real Shape (FORS) within the Philips FORS venture in the vascular field. Philips has a strong and unique position in this field through its interventional X-ray, cardiovascular devices and ultrasound portfolio. We are developing a new image-guidance solution based on revolutionary navigation technology, encompassing a combination of medical consumable devices, imaging equipment and related services.

  

Your role:

  • Drive value for FORS venture by providing clinical insights and deep subject matter expertise to the market. You will be the knowledge expert on endovascular therapy and LumiGuide technology.

  • Engage and collaborate with clinical experts in the endovascular field & share insights with the business to market & develop the value proposition and maintain the existing FORS portfolio.  Actively strengthen and maintain a network of KOL’s in medical community based on business and local market strategies (both for pre & post market).

  • Provide clinical support to Sales as part of the sales process and Marketing, R&D team on new technical and clinical developments.  Lead and/or participate in customer presentations & Medical advisory boards during site visits or events.

  • Collaborate with strategic accounts (i.e. the entire cycle of clinical studies) and manage IIS & investigational device studies and oversees clinical science related projects in alignment with the FORS clinical team.  Set up and manage research collaborations and collaborate with medical doctors and physicists of Clinical Science sites in evaluating new clinical applications for LumiGuide.

  • Keep up to date with innovations in medical applications and technology in endovascular therapy, via scientific literature, symposia and conferences, deliver research & clinical education to customers & colleagues, collect feedback from customers, identify unmet clinical needs and relay those to the business

Youre the right fit if:

  

  • You have 8+ years of professional experience as a clinical expert (5+ with doctorate) and have in-depth knowledge in endovascular therapy.

  • You demonstrate a customer-first attitude, have proven your ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, including leading discussions and presenting to customers & stakeholders.

  • You’ve earned an MD or master’s degree and/or Ph.D. with a biomedical background

  • You are a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and self-educate on different medical device products, procedures, and application trends.

  • You possess excellent written English and oral communications skills as well as strong skills in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.  

  • You have the willingness to travel up to approximately 70% of working time expected.

  

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details:  

  

The pay range for this position in the United States is $85,000 to $210,000 

  

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
