As the Senior Communications Manager, Monitoring Business, you will be responsible for the overall management and execution of business communication strategies, which includes items such as, planning and activation, employee and management communications, as well as executive thought leadership initiatives, while working closely with the Business Unit leadership and the Business leader.
Your role:
Serving as the primary communications liaison for one of our monitoring business units involves understanding its goals, challenges, and opportunities. This role includes developing and implementing integrated communication plans that align with the companys strategic objectives. Additionally, it requires creating compelling content for various channels, including press releases, social media, websites, newsletters, and internal communications.
Managing media relations involves drafting press materials, coordinating interviews, and maintaining relationships with key media contacts. This role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product launches, marketing campaigns, and other initiatives. Additionally, it requires monitoring industry trends and competitor activities relevant to the business unit to inform communication strategies. Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of communication efforts using data to drive continuous improvement for the business is a critical aspect of this position.

Youre the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 8+ years’ experience, of experience in healthcare, medical device, or pharma organization preferred.
Your skills include strong experience of managing complex communications processes across a matrixed organization, with the exceptional ability to communicate with multiple, diverse stakeholder groups and have a proven track record in media relations that extends beyond traditional product public relations (PR). Additionally, you demonstrate an adeptness in managing high-pressure situations and navigating sensitive issues effectively and with tact.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You have excellent communication skills, bringing energy and creativity to fast-moving environments, equipped with strong presentation, analytical, and organizational abilities, and are results-driven with a knack for combining strategic thinking with effective execution. Additionally, you are comfortable leveraging your project leadership experience and engaging in agency management to introduce new concepts, interact regularly with executives and customers, collaborate effectively with global teams, and creatively solve problems.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $136,000 to $216,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives, may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
