About this role:
As the Director of People Operations, you will be responsible for cultivating a team culture that encourages rapid learning and innovation adoption. Additionally, you will develop people-related practices and shape team dynamics to elevate the teams success in competitive markets.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees across the organization. Be a strategic partner to the senior team.
- Enhance retention and growth through coaching and providing guidance and best practices for people managers.
- Analyze and prepare people operations metrics, providing accurate insights to support decision-making.
- Lead initiatives in performance management, employee relations/engagement, talent development, policy and procedure development, and compensation and benefits. Review and refine policies, procedures, and guidelines as necessary.
- Guide and coach the People Operations Team, providing leadership and support.
- Stay updated on industry knowledge, trends, and employment regulations by participating in communities, building up professional networks, and engaging in continuous learning.
- Oversee the ATS/HRIS to enhance and streamline our people processes.
Qualifications:
- Have experience in managing and leading People Operations (HR) function, preferably within tech, start-up or high-growth sectors.
- Have experience in coaching junior to middle-level members.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
- Ideally, have experience leading and taking initiatives across all aspects of People Operations, including Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment & Talent Acquisition, Training & Development, Performance Appraisal, and Culture & Team building. (If not, experience in at least two areas is required.)
- Exhibit Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving ability, capable of aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Based in (or are willing to relocate to) Taiwan.
- Have experience working in multi-cultural work settings.
Plus:
- Knowledge of employment/labor standards in Taiwan.
- Analytical skills to effectively utilize data in People metrics to drive discussion & make people/HR decisions.
