As a Fellow Engineer in Monetization Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Pinterests advertising platform. You will lead and inspire a team of engineers to design, build, and scale cutting-edge systems for ad delivery, targeting, and measurement. You will foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and data-driven decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving Pinterests revenue growth and solidifying our position as a leader in the visual discovery and advertising space.
What you’ll do:
- Architect and Lead: Design and implement scalable, cutting-edge systems for ad delivery, targeting, and measurement. Pioneer new technologies to advance Pinterest’s advertising capabilities.
- Technical Leadership: Guide cross-functional teams with deep technical expertise and strategic insight. Lead projects that align engineering excellence with Pinterest’s business goals.
- Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor engineers, foster innovation, and promote knowledge sharing. Partner with stakeholders to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions.
- Optimization and Problem-Solving: Enhance platform performance and efficiency to meet the demands of a global audience. Address complex technical challenges with creative, forward-thinking solutions.
- Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead and oversee critical initiatives across ads and other engineering teams, and key partnerships to drive Pinterests growth and success.
- Explore New Opportunities: Potentially lead and shape new bets depending on the evolving needs of the business.
What we’re looking for:
- Leadership and Vision: 10+ years of leadership experience leading full-stack, product-oriented engineering organizations. Ability to set technical direction, inspire innovation, and drive strategic initiatives that align with Pinterests business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex technical challenges with creative and effective solutions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of system design, data analysis, and relevant programming languages. Familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies.
- Adaptability and Learning: Ability to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving technological landscape and embrace continuous learning.
- Quality and Impact: Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that have a measurable impact on Pinterests advertising platform and revenue growth.
