PitchBook’s Technical Product Manager works collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute the department’s product roadmap. This role plays an active role in defining strategy, roadmap prioritization, and supporting AI/ML-driven products and services within our Data Collection/Technology Automation domain. You will be responsible for overseeing the integration of AI/ML technologies into processes that enable efficient, accurate, and scalable data sourcing, ingestion, extraction, validation, enrichment, and hygiene across many datasets. 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the product strategy and roadmap for AI/ML applications in data collection and automation processes, against business goals around efficiency, scalability, and data accuracy
  • Lead efforts to automate data processing, validation, and integration workflows using machine learning models, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual intervention
  • Be a domain and subject matter expert for usage of AI/ML solutions and understand data operations user workflows and data pipeline needs
  • Provide guidance on AI/ML model integration, ensuring products and services are scalable, performant, and aligned with both business needs and technical constraints
  • Ensure that AI/ML models and data handling practices comply with relevant data privacy regulations and internal governance standards
  • Actively define backlog priority for your team(s) in collaboration with Product and Engineering
  • Break down prioritized requirements into well-structured backlog items and acceptance criteria for the engineering team to complete
  • Manage, track, and mitigate risks or blockers for delivery of features according to the Product Roadmap
  • Define, create, and manage metrics for AI/ML-driven features, ensuring alignment with business objectives such as data accuracy, processing speed, and operational efficiency
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of combined experience in technical product management or product ownership, with a focus on data science and/or AI/ML applications in data-rich environments
  • Proven record of shipping high impact data-related products, data pipelines, and data processing tools
  • Bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Experience translating user-centric requirements and specifications into user stories and tasks
  • Superior attention to detail including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong audience awareness
  • Demonstrated experience working with JIRA for issue management
  • Experience working with data science and end-user facing teams preferred
  • Background in fintech product space preferred
  • Successful experience collaborating with remote teams and stakeholders preferred
  • Certifications related to Product Management and/or AI/ML preferred: CSPO, PSPO, POPM, Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Machine Learning Certifications

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $140,000-$160,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 10%

 

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

 

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
