We are expanding our team and enhancing our platform capabilities, and we are actively seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership, development teams, technical delivery teams, and external partners to drive the successful design, development, and deployment of technology solutions.
As an experienced technologist, you will leverage your expertise to solve complex challenges for both our customers and our Product and Engineering organization. You will play a key role in shaping software change and release management processes while contributing to the overall maturity of our software development lifecycle.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will help ensure that software deliverables meet high-quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain software components across the entire software stack
- Build and maintain robust, scalable APIs to support application functionality and integration
- Investigate and resolve complex software issues by identifying root causes and delivering effective, long-term solutions
- Assist by guiding and contributing to the work of both internal and external development teams
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and vendor offerings, assessing and recommending tools and solutions as appropriate
- Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and establish best practices to improve team efficiency and software quality
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing

- Participate in on-call rotations to address emergencies and high-priority incidents
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of programming experience
- Strong TypeScript development experience
- Experience in React.js, Couchbase DB, Postgres, Redis, Python, and GCP a plus
- Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems
- Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and review of unique complex technological issues
- Excellent logical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Mentorship and leadership of technical practices
- Ability to exercise discretion and unsupervised judgment in the performance of duties

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD [$130,000.00] to [$179,000.00] per year. PlexTrac utilizes different base pay ranges for different work localities, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently based on their home market. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the specific applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s work location. In addition to a candidate’s work location, an individual’s base pay will also depend on a number of factors, such as complexity and responsibility of the posted role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
