P&G has declared go to cloud strategy and will be moving most of our workloads to the Cloud over the next few years. At the same time our internal Customers are taking the advantage of GTO cloud offering to enable internal transformation by using standard solutions tailored specifically for the needs of their Business Units.

As Cloud Engineer you will be a part of GTO Organization. You will be using technical and customer relations skills you will develop to deliver Operational capabilities that will help meet GTO internal customers applications’ business cases in a PaaS way.

Key element of this role is to ensure compliance and quality of operations of our internal Customers applications working together with theirs DevOps teams and Platform Capability Engineers to drive automation.

An integral part of your work is daily work and alignment with multiply Teams across organizations like DevOps Teams, Product Owners, Solutions Architects and more to meet your internal Customers KPIs and desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Recommend new or improve existing Platform Best Practices and Platform Technical Capabilities and onboarding various application teams to use them - via staying on top of Cloud industry trends, as well as standards, recommendations and tools from central P&G architecture, network, security, integration and other teams.

Ensure that proactive improvements and optimization activities (for example architecture review, cloud costs optimization) are identified, presented, disused with your customer(s) and once approved take accountability for drive them for execution.

Assure GTO products portfolio is well positioned and visible to your customer(s). Where needed you will be responsible for driving an adoption of such product(s) making sure Product Team backlog is feed with feedback you collect from customer(s), tracked to improve existing or develop new functionalities.

Help to define, analyze and improve Platform Service Operations metrics and ITIL Service Management processes implemented by various teams. Collaborate with Security Engineer improve Compliance metrics

Work with PG Corporate & Application teams, Cloud Service Partners and other vendors to understand, verify, improve and fix as needed shared Platform capabilities across your customer’s applications. This includes L3 postmortem support for major capability critical incidents and deep Problem Management support.

Building in security in application architecture you are responsible for through collaboration with InfoSec team and propagate DevSecOps demeanor among teams.

What you will learn on this Job:

  • Deep Technical knowledge and experience in Azure
  • Exposure to complex Cloud architectures, working with Cloud Provider product teams on future Cloud roadmap and capability improvements
  • Expertise working in global multi-functional team on Cloud Platforms
  • Industry Certifications, Azure Developer Associate / Azure Architect / Azure DevOps / Azure Security/ ITIL, SRE, SAFe, DevOps)
  • Communication skills (verbal/writing) to patiently handle customers technical queries and explain the customers the solutions/products they might look for.

Job Qualifications

  • MS Azure Cloud Computing Platform & Services awareness.
  • Awareness of Infrastructure and Platform components (network, load balancers, firewalls, servers, databases)
  • Ability to work with Terraform, PowerShell and/or Linux environment and shell (bash) scripts
  • Ability to learn new technology and ask appropriate and relevant technical questions
  • Understanding of Azure PaaS services (pros and cons of using them)
  • Problem-solving approach, pro activeness, initiative taking and not afraid to face challenges

Nice to have:

  • MS certificates are additional advance but not required
  • ITIL knowledge; or confirmed IT operations background will be additional advance
  • Experience with work with external Vendors
