The Senior Desktop Support Engineer Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our esteemed Information Technology team. This role is critical to ensuring that computer systems, software, and hardware are operating smoothly and efficiently. We are hiring for this position to enhance our technical assistance and support to end-users, primarily within our Bangalore office, but also to remote users globally. The focus will be on troubleshooting, installation, and configuration, alongside providing exceptional customer service to our end-users.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
- Technical Support: Provide first and second-level support for hardware, software, and networking issues, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
- Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications, ensuring all IT equipment functions properly.
- User Training and Assistance: Train end-users on IT systems and software usage, creating and maintaining user manuals for support.
- Incident Management: Log and track support requests, ensuring timely issue resolution and escalating complex problems as needed.
- Asset Management: Manage IT assets, maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.
- Security Compliance: Implement IT security policies, protecting systems against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Project Support: Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, maintaining positive relationships with end-users and effectively communicating to understand and solve their needs.

We’re looking for a teammate with:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a desktop support or similar IT role, with experience in Windows and macOS operating systems.
Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Customer Service Orientation: A strong commitment to high-quality customer service, with patience and courtesy in dealing with end-users.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with other IT members and departments.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies, with a willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
