We are looking for an experienced Digital Strategist to join the Digital Marketing & Media team. This position will lead the development and execution of innovative digital strategies that support our Industrial & Enterprise Internet of Things (IE-IoT) business unit, a key growth area for the company. The ideal candidate will bring fresh thinking to the table and have experience managing multiple complex digital marketing initiatives across channels including web, social media (LinkedIn, X, Instagram), YouTube, Discord, discussion forums (Stack Overflow, Reddit), paid media, search, and content creator collaborations.

This role will directly support our IE-IoT Product Marketing lead on all product launches, campaigns, events, and other key milestones while closely partnering with our Developer Relations team to fulfill our mission of becoming a Developer First company, leveraging brand and executive digital channels to cross-promote key developer initiatives and drive developer engagement. The IE-IoT Digital Strategist is instrumental in building awareness and engagement in Qualcomm’s audience of industrial, enterprise, commercial, connectivity, and consumer solution providers. The breadth of solutions powered by Qualcomm’s portfolio of IE-IoT products and technologies is vast and growing quickly, and we hope you’re excited to lead from the front when it comes to digital transformation.

Must be adept at working with a number of key internal stakeholders simultaneously, be responsive within our fast-moving environment, and comfortable in a virtual team setting with remote collaborators in multiple time zones. This role will be supported by our digital teammates, as well as creative and media agencies to bring product launches, campaigns, and events to life across all digital touchpoints. Responsibilities

•    Lead digital marketing for IE-IoT product announcements and campaigns, as well as owned and industry events (Embedded World, NRF).
•    Develop digital strategies, plans and activations in partnership with BU Product Marketing and Developer Relations leads. This includes recommendations for both brand and executive digital touchpoints across owned, earned and paid media channels – in partnership with Paid Media and Campaign leads
•    Present and sell-in ideas, creative concepts, and marketing plans to the broader marketing organization
•    Manage digital marketing projects from initial strategy to final execution and reporting
•    Educate business leadership and stakeholders of best practices in digital landscape
•    Develop strategies and programs to leverage the passion and influence of our global digital community
•    Partner with Communications team for online influencer engagements
•    Create goals, desired outcomes, and partner with Analytics team to provide key insights on digital activities
 

This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA that will be expected to work from the office in accordance with Qualcomm’s Onsite Work Policy.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
Associates degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    5-7+ years of digital marketing experience, specifically working with tech-forward audiences
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
•    Strategic, big picture thinker who can bring new ideas to the table
•    Deep understanding of digital platforms and how to leverage channels in an orchestrated fashion to achieve business goals, including but not limited to Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Discord, and Reddit.
•    Significant executive presence and ability to work with all levels of the organization including company leadership
•    A technology enthusiast, interested in leading-edge hardware, software, and services that enable new connected experiences
•    Strong organizational abilities and agency management experience
•    Strong measurement abilities to interpret data and formulate recommendations
•    Exceptional written and verbal communication, as well as deep listening skills 
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with global teammates in multiple regions
•    Must be a go-getter, self-starter, and accountable for the work and the results, able to work equally well with teams and independently

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$133,500.00 - $200,300.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
