About the Team and Role:

The People Team is responsible for supporting the company in pursuit of our mission. We aim to hire and retain world-class employees and to create an environment where they can do their best work. We strive to be innovators and leaders in our field.

With employees working from all over the globe, the India team has become our second-largest hub of Quora employees. As our HR Generalist, you will lead the HR efforts in India. You will partner closely with multiple stakeholders including the global HR team, the General Manager of our India team, and our India Professional Employer Organization.

Your role will include developing and executing best-in-class HR processes and recruitment strategies to attract top talent, while enhancing and managing the employee experience for our India team. You will be responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities with a solution-forward mindset. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, and vendor management in the India region, ensuring seamless collaboration with global teams and adherence to compliance requirements.

  • Execute India recruiting efforts, including conducting market research, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, managing the talent pipeline, coordinating interviews, and extending offers to candidates.

  • Manage India HR activities - including employee engagement, relations, performance management, HR tooling, and stakeholder management.

  • Provide guidance on HR-related compliance with India employment laws and lead the Internal Complaints Committee / POSH Committee.

  • Provide expert guidance, coaching, and continuous feedback to team members to optimize performance levels and foster goal achievement.

  • Manage administrative and HR operations to ensure smooth functioning across the India offices.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline

  • 4+ years of professional Human Resources and Recruiting experience

  • 2+ years of India HR statutory compliance experience

  • Flexibility in partnership with the US-based teams as needed during early morning or late evening hours

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and competing tasks with attention to detail

  • Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline

  • Experience working with a Professional Employer Organization

  • Experience creating and managing HR and Recruiting programs
