Job Summary
The Red Hat North America Technology Sales team is looking for an Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Platform Leader to join our team. This is a leadership position responsible for the quality and execution of the North America] RHEL business as well as field execution for RHEL specialists. This role is also responsible for development and advocacy of Red Hat’s go-to-market (GTM) strategies and tactics in North America] for the RHEL platform.

Primary Responsibilities

  •  Hire, develop, retain and lead RHEL Specialists within the Geo (SSPs and SSAs), to deliver RHEL offerings through all sales motions.

  • Lead the RHEL sales strategy for the Geo, including articulation of clear business value of RHEL, to continue to elevate our impact to both our internal and external customers, driving growth through net new opportunities.

  • Accountable for the Geo RHEL targets and planned growth.

  • Serve as the technical thought leader for RHEL, acting as a trusted advisor for Red Hat account teams within the Geo.

  • Collaborate with the Global RHEL Platform Leader for global RHEL sales execution and talent management, to include ensuring technical sellers are meeting the required technical proficiencies for their role.

  • Collaborate with the Geo OpenShift Platform and Ansible Platform Leaders when joint GTMs may be required to simplify our offerings from the customer point of view.

  • Support and contribute to the hiring process for RHEL specialists (SSP, SSA) in the Geo.

  • Review associate performance and related performance management activities, quarterly, with regional RHEL Platform Leaders, providing results of that review to the Geo Tech Sales leader.

  • Assesses performance of regional RHEL Platform Leaders based on sales execution and team talent management (time/attentiveness to hiring, attrition, associate engagement, quarterly connection completion, etc.).

  • Synthesize regional feedback for Product team and Engineering reviews.

  • Lead monthly Business Leadership Team (BLT) meeting.

  • Execute global sales plays with the support of the Global and Segment sales teams.

  • Partner with the Global Ecosystem Tech Sales Leader to incorporate Global Ecosystem strategies into RHEL platform execution.

  • Partner with the Ecosystem team to implement and execute partner-focused GTM initiatives.

  • Represent Red Hat through public thought leadership (written and/or spoken advocacy). 

Required Skills

  • 10+ years experience in a sales leadership role in a technology sales environment.

  • Strong technical and business background with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering on complex projects. 

  • Experience managing sales and technical pre-sales associates.

  • Proven track record of managing direct and indirect teams, as well as strong cross functional collaboration skills, with a proven track record of success.

  • Experience in RHEL development or operations, cloud platforms, like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Linux market, use cases, competitors and value.

  • Experience building and/or contributing to pre-sales material and process creation.

  • Ability to present to and have conversations at multiple levels with a customer from developers and architects to infrastructure and operations teams, to strategic executives and C-level management.

  • Experience with a digital transformation effort as part of sales, consulting or as a customer.

  • Strong understanding of RHEL market opportunities, the competitive landscape and deep technical expertise in RHEL solutions and related technologies, trends, and concepts.

  • Bachelors degree (or US foreign equivalent) in computer information systems, computer science or related field.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, following Red Hat’s established travel and expense policies.

The salary range for this position is $309,760.00 - $526,360.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
