At Restaurant365, we’re on a mission to simplify operations for restaurants everywhere, and payroll is a critical part of that. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who can transform complex payroll processes into intuitive, user-friendly experiences. 
 
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and payroll experts to design solutions that streamline payroll tasks like employee payments, tax filings, and reporting. You’ll lead design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring restaurant operators can run payroll with confidence, accuracy, and ease.

How youll add value:

  • Own the design process: Lead end-to-end design projects for payroll products, from research and ideation to prototyping and delivery. 
  • Simplify complex workflows: Design user-friendly experiences for payroll tasks like pay schedules, tax compliance, and reporting. 
  • Work with users: Conduct research, usability testing, and gather feedback to understand user pain points and improve your designs. 
  • Collaborate with teams: Partner with product managers, engineers, and payroll subject-matter experts to deliver impactful solutions. 
  • Create clarity and consistency: Contribute to and maintain design systems that ensure visual and functional consistency across payroll products. 
  • Deliver results: Advocate for the user while balancing technical and business constraints to create designs that drive measurable impact. 
  • Other duties as assigned

What youll need to be successful in this role:

  • 5+ years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing complex, user-centered solutions. 
  • Experience with data-driven tools or workflows (e.g., payroll, finance, HR tech, or similar systems). 
  • Strong UX skills: You’re skilled in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and creating intuitive interfaces. 
  • Proficiency with design tools: Comfortable using Figma (or similar) to produce high-quality designs. 
  • Ability to simplify the complex: You can turn technical, compliance-heavy processes into clear and easy-to-use solutions. 
  • Collaboration and communication: You work well with cross-functional teams and can clearly present and explain design decisions. 
  • Self-motivated and adaptable: You’re proactive, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.  
  • PREFERRED
  • Experience designing SaaS platforms for payroll, HRIS, finance, or compliance-related systems. 
  • Familiarity with workforce management tools or employee time tracking. 
  • Understanding of the restaurant industry or other operationally complex businesses. 
  • Understanding of web technologies like HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

  • This position has a salary range of $108,000 - $162,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
