ReversingLabs is looking for a technical writer to join the existing team with the goal of improving our customer-facing product documentation. You will independently use and document ReversingLabs products, and be responsible for maintaining and publishing user guides, changelogs, and other written instructional content for our customers.

Strong English skills are a must, and technical skills are required to use Git, Google Suite, and markup files for editing documentation. Familiarity with documentation tools like Docusaurus is a plus. You will also be expected to interact with our RESTful APIs and product front-ends. Additionally, you should be willing and able to learn how to use the command-line interface on a Linux-based OS to work with our automated documentation workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Write product documentation and changelogs.
  • Use ReversingLabs products and document new features from scratch.
  • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, Product and Program Managers on preparing and publishing content for product releases.
  • Follow standard procedures, recommended documentation practices and in-house guides, and suggest ways to improve them.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience with technical documentation tools and formats (such as Sphinx, Docusaurus, Markdown, reStructuredText).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
  • Attention to detail, self-reliance, and the ability to track work and report on the progress

Desired skills/ Advantages

  • Basic knowledge of Linux command-line and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows (GitLab CI/CD is a plus).
  • Frontend skills (CSS, JS….) are a plus.


Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Information Sciences, Journalism, or a related field is not required, but would be nice to have
  • At least one year of experience with content writing and/or editing
