Job Summary
RBC Capital Markets Global Research is looking to hire a full time Supervisory Analyst to cover North American evening hours of 3pm - midnight PT (6pm – 3am ET). Proximity to an RBC office is preferable but flexibility to work remotely.
Given the hours, there is a preference to staff in North America, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore or in other suitable locations, as long as the hours line up with the above shift. While we work in a team environment with weekly conference calls and constant interaction, the position requires a self-motivated individual that can work independently.
Job Description
What will you do?
- Review of Equity, Fixed Income, Rates and other research material for global regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all material meets the firm’s established guidelines.
- Co-ordinate with staff globally on formatting, production and distribution of research product.
- In conjunction with Research Management and the Legal Department provide guidance to Research Staff with respect to daily operating issues.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to deal with multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Detail oriented.
- Willingness to work long or varied hours during earnings season.
- FINRA Series 16 licensed.
Nice-to-have
- Previous experience as an equity analyst would be an asset.
- Previous experience as an equity SA would be preferred – Series 16.
- Experience with Blue Matrix a plus.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position in California and New York is US$150,000 - US$175,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
