Job Description:

The Lead for DX Analaytics & Performance Platforms is responsible for the web analytics strategy for our CPG business segments in line with business requirements and goals. This comprises the architecture and successful implementation of tagging and analytics for the sites in scope, collaborating with the development, business and agencies’ teams, and ensuring the right downstream integration with the relevant consumer data platforms (CRM, CDP, DMP…). The analytics lead also reviews the existing implementation of tags with the goal to meet standards and best practices. This role continuously ensures that the various teams use the same tooling and delivers analytics in a reliable, scalable and sustainable way. Analysis and building Tag Solutions for our consumer facing websites will be part of the daily routine. Role holder directs and supervises delivery from partners to ensure smooth delivery of the Mars consumer facing & web experiences.

The role holder is a technical expert with a strong understanding of business goals and analytical strategies having technical depth in associated technologies, partnering with the marketing teams and their partners, web platform product manager, DevOps engineers, architects, web operations and developments teams. Role holder is having great sensibility to solve problems using data and is passionate about programming from a purely scientific skill into an art.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent or above or comparable practical experience.
  • Preference given to software engineering, computer science or information technology.
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • 2+ years experience in websites analytics implementation and tagging with the solutions Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager - knowledge of Drupal/Acquia analytics and technologies is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience with Google BigQuery and/or Data Studio
  • Expertise with data visualization in Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods and analysis such as regression, clustering, and time series analysis
  • Experience as product manager, business analyst, developer or any other relevant role delivering public facing websites for business brands, ideally in an international and CPG context.
  • Experience collaborating and operating in an agile approach (SCRUM, LeSS...)
  • Extensive knowledge of digital marketing concepts.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics platforms including social listening, paid media, and SEO, a plus
  • Experience with consumer data platforms such as CRM, CDP, DMP is appreciated.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Role holder is overall responsible for creating Web analytics measurement strategy for Mars Wrigley, Pet Nutrition & Mars Food business segments, architect the Google Tag Manager implementation for 400+ sites In our platform under the three segments and work in tangent with our development teams to implement and optimize our Tag containers in line with business requirements and goals. Reviews the implementation of existing tags following the web analytics standard. Sets workflows for the teams that guarantee everyone uses the same tooling, having scalability, maintainability, and robustness. Analysis and building Tag Solutions for our website will be part of the daily work. The Web Analytics lead directly manage contractors (from Mars Vendors/Suppliers) to ensure smooth delivery of the Mars consumer facing & web experiences.

This role is expected to be +60% hands on designing and developing Analytics Tag & Dashboard. 10% of role is focusing on management (projects, vendor) and analyst related activities (governance meetings, Website life cycle management). 10% on partnering with the product managers, and architects of our ecosystem to continue building the future of our platform to support additional needs notably for D2C experiences. Remaining 10% are about continuous personal development and upskilling as the role is key to support innovation at Mars.

  • Develop web measurement strategies to track all marketing efforts in Google Analytics based on Segments needs and goals.
  • Create and maintain standards in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Create custom behavior insights at different phases of the customer journey in brand & marketing & ecommerce websites
  • Create accurate reports that will be provided to Leadership Team to help make marketing decisions
  • Create, configure, and manage all existing and new GTM containers and implement all tags, triggers and variables to capture most relevant website data
  • Drive insights from: active users, audiences, bounce rate, session duration, transactions, revenue, conversion, and all other e-commerce insights
  • Work with the website development team to ensure proper placement of any new GTM containers
  • Design, optimize and create our tagging architecture within Google Analytics 360 and Google Tag Manager
  • Ability to identify data quality issues and work to resolve data quality issues
  • Research and answer all questions when there are unexpected changes in traffic, revenue, etc. from the different sources
  • Create and manage all automated reports that are sent daily using Google Data studio / Microsoft Power BI or similar tools.
  • Evaluate and recommend data tracking technology that to help support business initiatives
  • Track changes in the digital marketing industry that will affect 3rd party tagging and web analytics
  • Ability to support the overall web analytics and insights vision, working closely to structure measurement frameworks, KPI’s, and analysis deliverables
