The North America Marketing Manager under Royal Canin, is part of the North American marketing team that will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and activities to reach, recruit and retain Professionals and ensure our brands are the recommended choice that gets a consumer purchase. This role requires segment ownership that delivers both strategic leadership and hands-on execution of marketing activities, content creation, program execution, and performance tracking.

The Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving the growth plans for the breeder segment in support of a “one” North America PRO Business Unit. This person will work to streamline programs and communications for a cohesive “North America” breeder partner experience, while understanding the unique market needs of US and Canada.Requires close collaboration with other members of the PRO North America Marketing team and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and premium brand experience.This position will report to the North America Pro Marketing Director.

What are we looking for?

  • 4+ years Marketing expereince
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field required. Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights, strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated expereince with brand and marketing strategy
  • Previous animal health or nutrition experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects & initiatives. 
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Action-oriented; takes initiative and acts with growth mindset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Stakeholder management experience.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the French or Spanish language
  • Experience working across and managing two markets or a region

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and Pro Marketing team to assist in the creation and execution of integrated marketing plans, as lead for segment/customer responsibility
  • Plan, Execute & Support National Events within segment/customer responsibility
  • Partner and work closely with internal team (sales managers, marketing team, Scientific Communications, Pro Leadership team) to drive goals and objectives for segment/customer responsibility
  • Provide North America thought leadership, expertise and support to global partners on regional market dynamics to drive our OGSM initiatives.  Drive regional execution of critical global initiatives towards segment/customer responsibility.
  • Lead the strategy, creation and execution of annual marketing plans (for segments that support overall business objectives) that connect with recommenders/advocates in their own unique look, tone, voice and media through collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Manage and track advertising, promotions and trade budgets (with sales ops) for segment/customer responsibility along with invoice management as the liaison between marketing and finance.  Forecast all expenses and allocate the spend based on ROI by activity
  • Executes initiatives in line with QMP process, including managing bilingual translations with agency partners.
  • Develop and execute partner programs that focus on driving segment/customer choices with a focus on portfolio growth in nutrition.
  • Track and analyze segment/customer KPIs.  Monitor and optimize marketing activities to maximize ROI.  Identify and recommend opportunity/mitigation plans to drive segment KPIs and objectives.
  • Identify, build and maintain key industry influencers, clubs & partnerships (ie. breed/parent clubs, theriogenologists, industry partners, key opinion leaders, etc)
  • Launch portfolio enhancements and innovations within the focus segment/customer priorities to drive retention & new partner acquisition that increased recommendation.
  • Manage stakeholders and collaborate cross functionally inside the organization and with partners and agencies externally to drive initiatives with alignment and visibility.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.  Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
