The Senior Reporting & Insights Learning Specialist at Mars Inc. plays a crucial role in driving business intelligence initiatives tailored for Learning. This pivotal position involves crafting and maintaining sophisticated tools that deliver top-tier insights and analysis, empowering stakeholders within the People & Organization (P&O) department. By fostering enhanced data literacy and analytics prowess, the specialist enables informed decision-making.
A central objective of the Senior P&O Learning Reporting & Insight Analyst is to cultivate a user-centric reporting service, fostering a culture of analytics and insights throughout the P&O organization, thus driving capability enhancement and cultural transformation.
What are we looking for?
- University degree or equivalent professional experience preferably in HR, Management Systems
- 3+ experience using daily HCM/ Workday and/ or equivalent.
- Advance knowledge in Excel, PowerBI and other standard reporting and visualization tools (ability to keep informed about leading edge technologies and their application to P&O and workforce metrics)
- Previous stakeholder management experience with the ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) and interact effectively with all levels of management and partners
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information from different sources with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Understand how organization works and what matters to business leaders
- Ability to be adaptive and flexible to new ideas and change
What will be your key responsibilities?
- In partnership with functional & process leads (COE and Global Process Leads/ P&O Solutions team), design & align on a roadmap of deployment of the new reporting and insights solutions for the defined domain, govern and validate new requirements and ensure the execution.
- Lead the delivery of an exceptional partner service by implementing strategic reporting insights through self-service and automated solutions, ensuring compliance with data privacy and internal processes.
- Building & developing effective solutions using a range of data transformation & analytic tools in response to business requirements (workday reporting/Prism/ PowerBI dashboard)
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and contribute to team initiatives for efficiency gains, simplify & enhance the user experience.
- Educate end-users on available self-service reporting solutions and provide expertise in the standard reports and dashboards, contributing to building data literacy of P&O teams and data-driven culture.
- Drive recommendations and influence stakeholders to select and use the most efficient reporting tools and solutions to maximize the automation, self-service, and regular delivery of standard reports, KPIs and dashboards
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the Workday platform (for Learning or any Mars Signature Processes)
- Leading the Learning functional reporting as a thought leader and trusted expert to deliver strategic outcomes and business value, providing analytical reporting and insight support.
- Consistently and actively use a data-based decision-making approach balanced with independent judgment. Is seen & valued by stakeholders as a strong expert in reporting, able to consolidate data points from different data sources and with a robust understanding of how business works and what matters to make an impact.
- Leverage opportunities to drive standardization, automation, and self-service within reporting processes.
- Conduct rigorous AAR where appropriate and drive further optimization.
- Design, develop & Deploy reporting prototype partnering with functional reporting SMEs and key stakeholders

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
