Job Description

We are looking to add a Project Manager - Capital & Continuous Improvement to the team! This position is responsible for leading the development, facilitation, and implementation of the Operational Excellence processes for all manufacturing locations company-wide. This position will work closely with operations leadership, plant personnel, and continuous improvement teams at both the business unit and corporate level. Responsibilities will also include designing and delivering training programs, leading and facilitating process improvement teams, analyzing processes, and results, and implementing strategies as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the operational excellence continuous improvement model.
  • Develop tools and common performance metrics. Establish the means of reporting performance against goals.
  • Roll out existing CI training programs including but not limited to 5S, make a ready reduction, Kaizen, and value stream mapping
  • Project manage capital projects including the identification, estimating, and implementation of equipment additions and improvements.
  • Research, design and develop new CI training programs and materials. Train manufacturing teams on continuous improvement techniques and concepts.
  • Develop baselines for future comparisons. Work with IT as needed to modify or expand appropriate data to be captured and measured.
  • Provide ongoing feedback regarding goals and plans. Oversee the completion, compilation, and analysis of results to ensure effective program implementation.
  • Conduct review meetings with CI teams and recommend procedures for improvement. Assist in establishing action plans and follow-up as needed.
  • Provide ongoing communication regarding corporate-wide OE/CI and capital initiatives. Evaluate and motivate teams.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure the applicability and effectiveness of the process and capital improvements across multiple functional areas.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned based on skillset and business needs.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in a technical field.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing management experience preferred.
  • Experienced in the use of CI tools and capable of training others in their use.
  • Capital and general project management experience
  • Microsoft Excel, PPT, proficiency required. Minitab Preferred

May require up to 50% travel within the United States

Additional Information

RRDs current salary range for this role is $105,900 to $169,500/year. The salary range may be adjusted
based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the
future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and
compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency,
performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation
package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD’s benefit
