Job Description
The Account Director is responsible for understanding and representing Digital products, services, and solutions to clients. As Account Director of Retail Media Product Sales, you will be responsible for
developing and driving the sales business strategies and overall new digital business to drive revenue and
increase market share through innovation. The Account Director will pursue opportunities through organic growth,
new business opportunities and through an effective partnership/sales strategy with the internal sales team and
clients to sell in Retail Media to meet our client’s needs. The position requires product knowledge, an
understanding of industry trends, and ability to develop strategic plans with a high level of initiative, planning and
foresight to maximize sales and revenue from existing clients as well as new clients and prospects. In the
position you will act as a subject matter expert and mentor to less experienced sellers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing a strategic and sophisticated consultative process which engages new and existing clients regarding the promotion and marketing of services and solutions and capturing all revenue opportunities, expanding knowledge base of client business/objectives and requirements, building meaningful value-added relationships by: (70%)
Building strong partnerships and sales strategies with existing and new clients through developing a deep understanding of their businesses and marketing/advertising initiatives.
Engage other RRD product sales experts to propose optimum customer solutions
Effectively communicate how best to promote RMN products and services to best fit a client or prospective clients needs (Travel may be necessary)
Align and implement annual strategic business plan for RMN to drive revenue and new business creation across the product.
Create and develop executable programs, materials and processes that are driven by market and business insights
· Be considered a business partner by the customer; maintain and grow customer accounts by: (30%)
Providing valued, comprehensive and strategic account management.- Ensuring tactical and flawless implementation of products, services, and solutions.
- Staying current on industry/vertical trends, best practices, client relationship management and business development.
- Researching, tailoring, and teaching commercial insights to clients.
- Remaining point of contact to ensure client’s concerns are addressed.
- Meet with clients onsite quarterly to build relationships and drive value.
- Attend industry conferences to keep up to date on industry trends and meet prospective clients.
Qualifications
Education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in the fields of Business, Marketing, or Communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience / Skills and Competencies:
- 9+ years in a quota carrying sales role; demonstrated consistent success over performance.
- 7+ year’s experience selling Retail/In-store Media and other digital solutions (IAB or any others) in the Programmatic Media space specially DOOH and audiences
- Extensive knowledge of the Digital MarTech and Retail Media Ecosystem.
- Expert using data and insights as a solution selling tool.
- Requires conceptual thinking to understand issues and implications.
- Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Ability to educate and influence stakeholders/audiences resulting in closed/won business.
- Ability to handle more complex/strategic accounts; typically interacting with client/prospects higher level executives/C-suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients while seeking new opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, with aptitude to learn system.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities.
- Communication & Contacts (Internal/External):
- Communication with clients and internal co-workers – all levels of management, business leadership, customers, suppliers and other internal/external entities as required
- Decision Making Scope: Ability to make recommendations and bring out-of-box recommendations to clients and areas that support sales (ie: targeting, marketing and pricing)
- Requires broad conceptual judgment and ability to deal with complex factors.

Travel required. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Information
This is a salary plus incentive program eligible role. RRDs current pay range for this role is $50,000 to $150,000 / year. The pay range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. It is not typical for the final salary offered to be near or at the top of the range. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs.
