The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Enterprise Services team:

The Associate Director, CORE ( Customer Oriented Results and Excellence ) (Six Sigma Black Belt equivalent) Office for Enterprise Services (ES), leads the advancement and sustainment of the CORE Operating System across ES. This role focuses on deepening adoption, growing capabilities, and driving maturity in partnership with the ES Strategy team and Domain CORE Embedded Leads. Acting as the CORE Center of Excellence, the Associate Director enables consistent execution, builds talent, and champions continuous improvement efforts aligned to RTX’s goals for performance, efficiency, and quality.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with the ES Strategy team to drive the execution of the ES CORE roadmap.
  • Prioritize and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with RTX’s performance goals.
  • Lead the adoption and standardization of CORE practices across ES Domains and services.
  • Partner with CELs (CORE Domain Leads) to understand domain priorities and support them in achieving improvement targets.
  • Manage and evolve the ES CORE communication site to facilitate knowledge sharing and transparency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CORE tools, methods, and standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit CORE offices to share best practices and ensure consistency.
  • Develop and manage a CORE talent pipeline through training, certification, and coaching.
  • Create and maintain a CORE skills matrix and coaching framework.
  • Lead CORE awareness campaigns and continuous improvement training across ES.
  • Support the adoption and enhancement of the COSMIC application to meet CORE needs and improve usability.
  • Define and track CORE health and maturity metrics, providing regular updates to the CORE Council and ESLT.
  • Track active engagements for S&T CEL and ES CORE.
  • Partner with ES CORE Embedded Leads and the ES Data Strategy team to analyze CORE Control Tower metrics, drive data-driven decision-making, and ensure alignment and consistency in metrics.
  • Manage CORE certification tracking and knowledge management.
  • Collaborate with the Metrics Council to drive measurement consistency.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design future-state processes, build business cases, and drive operational improvements.
  • Foster alignment across ES Domains, addressing challenges and supporting enterprise-wide goals.
  • Highlight domain achievements and progress to the ES Leadership Team

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt level), or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and engage stakeholders across organizational levels

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
