Job Summary:
The Sensor Power Department (SPD) is seeking a senior electrical engineer to serve as the on-site technical support resource person for the upcoming Poland Energy Storage Assembly (ESA) – WZE - Poland Industrial Participation contract.
SPD is responsible for design engineering including the following areas:
- Power System Design - Power System Noise, System Simulation and Modeling, Solid State Transmitters, Tube Transmitters, High Voltage Design, Power Sources, Generators
- Power Conversion - AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies, Power Factor Correction (PFC), Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS), Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise Controls
- Power Distribution - Ground, Air, and Shipboard, Power Generation, Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power, DC, AC, Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation, Protection Circuits, Redundant Systems
- Power Sub-System Design - Filters, Harmonic Control, EMI, Circuit Simulation, Magnetics, Protective Relay Systems, Short Circuit and Stress Analyses
- Control Systems – Servo Control Systems, Motor/Power/Process Control, Digital Feedback Systems, Command Generation, Inertial Stabilization, Navigation Algorithms
This is up to 3 year international assignment located in Warsaw, Poland with additional compensation emoluments.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Will include technical assistance to the resident and flyaway Raytheon sub-IPT Leads, Tech Lead / Hardware Engineer / SME, Mechanical Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Engineer., and to corresponding personnel within WZE and their subcontractors, in the transfer of technology to WZE in the form of documentation, instrumentation, training, and other technical assistance.
Include any day-to-day technical aspects of the production contract execution, participation in all local and virtual meetings and reviews, assisting local personnel with ESA build, operation, test, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, dealings with suppliers (especially mandated U.S. Suppliers), and participation/assistance in certain training that will be provided to WZE by the core Raytheon ESA personnel.
Integrate sites and subcontractor facilities with the goal to enable WZE to independently procure, manufacture, integrate, test, and sustain ESAs for the life of the program, as well as ensure that WZE ESAs are mechanically and electrically equivalent to the U.S. version.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5+ years of prior experience.
- Circuit and Component Design, Product Development, Hands on experience with hardware manufacturability, CCA Design and Test
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hardware development experience in a DoD environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead/manage small projects or processes
- Experience generating technical documentation and reports
- Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components
- Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs
- Experience in production environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
