The System Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).
The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) department is seeking a Battle Management Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) Chief Engineer (CE) on the Patriot Product Line. The BMC4I CE will oversee the execution of engineering scope across the domestic and FMS / DCS Patriot Product Line.
This is an “Onsite” role in Andover, Massachusetts
This position requires daily on-site support and is not open to hybrid or remote possibilities
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- You will ensure the quality and success of all technical execution for all aspects of the BMC4I Patriot Products across all programs and customers.
- You will create a consistent and solid relationship with the customers technical community to ensure open flow of information.
- You will monitor and assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- You will mentor and provides professional leadership to the fellow engineers within various directorates, Programs and cross product teams.
- You will provide oversight for all technical aspects of the Patriot BMC4I design to meet US and international environmental and safety requirements.
- You will serve as a technical advisor to ensure Export/Import (EXIM) compliance when applicable.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of prior relevant experience in the Patriot product line. In absence of a degree, 16 years or more of relevant experience is required.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
- Experience in Patriot Program (or similar program) system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment
- Demonstrated experience in strategic development, customer interface, or contract capture in the Defense Industry
- Direct experience with International FMS programs and International Supplier’s/Partner’s engineering execution
- Direct experience with Army IAMD Systems of Systems (SoS)
- Direct experience in concepts of operations development and/or design of system level architecture
- Direct experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management
- Demonstrated experience with globally distributed engineering execution organizations (CONUS and OCONUS)
- Direct experience with international industrial participation and technology transfer
- Existing Secret or higher Security Clearance (DoD)
