SageSure, a leading Managing General Underwriter in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking an Operations Analyst to support our carrier partners and internal stakeholders across all aspects of our carrier relationships. Acting as a direct point of contact for our carrier partners, this position requires someone who is attentive, communicative, and highly motivated to create a best-in-class working experience between SageSure and its carriers.
The Carrier Operations team sits within the Office of the CEO and is one of the most agile at SageSure. The team operates at the highest levels within the organization and works closely with the C-Suite and other Senior Leaders internally and externally to foster strong operational partnerships and responsible management of our carrier portfolios. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple departments at SageSure as we continue our rapid growth.
What you’d be doing:
- Act as a direct point of contact for our carrier partners in support of daily operations
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination in support of the daily operations of our partners.
- Develop an intimate familiarity with SageSure’s insurance products and communicate relevant changes to our carrier partners
- Support the delivery of statutory/regulatory reporting and data calls, audits, and other compliance-related activities
- Partner cross-functionally to support the development of additional management reporting and ensure the timely delivery to all internal and external parties
- Build, maintain, and improve low/no code automated processes to drive further efficiency of the team
- Support the Carrier Operations team with the creation of presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Support the development of an operational scorecard to regularly monitor our performance and use results to drive process improvements
- Develop operational resource documentation and process guides
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting or other related field
- 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in insurance/reinsurance, finance, consulting, or operations
- Strong MS Excel skills and the ability to create compelling exhibits for an executive audience
- Desire to learn in a very dynamic environment with vertical exposure to organization leaders
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply skills learned on the job in a rapid and effective manner
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills enabling effective communication across a wide range of audiences
- Ability to design and document efficient operational processes
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Relevant insurance designations such as AINS, ARe, ARM, etc.
- Proficiency with SQL, Alteryx, Domo, PowerBI
- Proficiency with Smartsheet, Jira
- Knowledge of insurance carrier regulatory requirements and industry best practices
