Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background and experience in Adtech and programmatic platforms to join our Technical Account Management Org. As a member of the Solutions Engineering function within Samsung Ads, you are expected to both act as a service org to the business functions within Samsung Ads, as well as provide a feedback loop to the leads in Product and Engineering about what needs to be improved for the business to run more smoothly.

Solutions Engineering is primarily responsible for leading cross-functional investigations, designing monitoring and testing tools, and overall health of the Samsung Ads platform. This role is part of the engineering team, so it is heavily focused on the technical side of the business and has a much bigger scope than normal Solutions Engineering roles.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop deep technical expertise on the Samsung Ads platform including the underlying client/server architecture, data flow, workflow, and setup/configuration.

  • Lead cross-functional investigations to solve complex technical problems that impact the Samsung Ads business.

  • Analyze data from the Samsung Ads platform to identify business critical issues and then work with product and engineering teams to implement a solution.

  • Work with the data analytics team to create dashboards that show the health of the Samsung Ads platform.

  • Assist business operations with communicating to stakeholders when there is an issue that is significantly impacting the Samsung Ads business.

  • Continuously monitor performance of the Samsung Ads platform looking for ways to improve the product and help our customers grow.

  • Design automated tools that monitor critical business metrics and generate alerts when there are spikes in performance.

  • Setup end-to-end Samsung TV Ad testing environments for troubleshooting business critical issues.

  • Design testing tools that help identify issues with the Samsung TV Ad client.

  • Proactively monitor performance of the Samsung TV Ad client to quickly identify issues with Ad delivery.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • 8+ years’ experience working on technical teams (technical services, technical support, etc.) within the AdTech industry.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and databases.

  • Experience with Performance Ads is a plus

  • Experience using cloud-based tools like S3, Athena, QuickSights, and Kibana.

  • Competence with data tools such as EazyBI, Domo, Excel or Looker.

  • Experience building dashboards using Grafana and Quicksights for monitoring and alerting is preferred

  • Good understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, openRTB, and VAST video.

  • Experience reading source code using cloud-based git repositories like GitHub and BitBucket.

  • Demonstrated experience of solving technical issues with third party SSPs, SSAI vendors, Measurement solutions, Fraud Prevention companies etc

  • Extensive experience using Jira projects to collaborate with engineering, product, technical support, and business operations.

  • Experience with 3P measurement vendor troubleshooting and integration.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, being able to communicate effectively to business and engineering teams.

Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY is expected to be between $200,000 and $225,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
