Position Summary

The Samsung Ads business has developed a proprietary ad platform that leverages unique first party TV data to help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, our Smart TVs, and our Galaxy mobile devices. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.We are currently looking for a talented Sales Director – SCS, leading our East Coast Mid- Market Accounts inside sales team. This role will lead our Mid-Market Sales efforts in the Eastern region responsible for leading a team focused on new customer acquisition, accelerating their growth and forming new partnerships leveraging our Ad Manager platform. This is a new role, reporting the Head of Sales – SCS.
This leader should have a passion for streaming TV and possess deep audience targeting expertise; and have previously worked in an organization where they had sales/business development responsibilities in new label acquisition. Possess a passion for coaching and mentorship with entrepreneurial spirit focused on building a scalable business plan to secure net new revenue from net new customers.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Lead and build a team of ~10-15 inside sales representatives on the East Coast, focusing on CTV products and solutions via our ad manager platform.
• Create mid-term and long-term strategic plan to grow the regional advertising business both on and off our Smart TV platform
• Contributing to developing key performance metrics and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on performance drivers
• Track outreach and other data driven performance metrics to make strategic recommendations in partnership with Sales-Enablement team
• Manage and maintain revenue pipelines to achieve targets
• Be the Samsung Ads brand ambassador in the region establishing a position as a thought leader and market expert.
• Collaborate with other cross-functional partners across Product Marketing, Sales Marketing, Client Services, Operations, Agency Development and Indirect Sales.
Skills and Qualifications
Job Experience and Knowledge
• Deep understanding of the programmatic tech stack, video and connected TV media Ecosystem
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales teams and exceeding quota
• Exceptional coach who leads by example and is willing to jump in the trenches with their team
• Nimble executive who needs little support to drive success, builder’s mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
• Dynamic personality with the desire and capability to succeed with others.
• Successful internal and external relationship management
• Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through in person, over the phone or video conference
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
• 12+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at a video publisher or TV network group
• 5+ years of sales leadership experience, with the most recent role leading and managing a team focused on new customer acquisition and performance
The salary range for this role, for candidates based in NYC, is expected to be
between $255,000 and $265,000. Actual pay will be determined considering
factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other
employees in the role.
