Summary
Samsung is looking for an experienced marketer to drive comprehensive marketing strategies and execution for gaming on Samsung TVs. He/she will develop year-round marketing plans, including top of funnel, performance and partnership marketing campaigns, industry activations, communications and other strategic initiatives. Through this work, this senior marketing manager’s remit is to elevate the Samsung Gaming subbrand while driving awareness, consideration and engagement for gaming on Samsung TVs through consumer acquisition, engagement, and retention goals for each videogame product.

He/she will be responsible for driving a full end-to-end marketing strategy, responsible for both top-of-the-funnel/brand metric improvements and low-funnel/growth performance. Working closely with the Product team, this product marketing leader will understand customer needs, help Product identify new white space opportunities for Samsung gaming and effectively communicating the value and benefits gaming to consumers and partners – all critical to driving sales and enhancing our leadership position in cloud streaming and gaming on Samsung TV.

In addition, he/she will work with Partner Marketing to fuel the Samsung TV Ecosystem through gaming partnerships. Through this focus, this leader will develop co-marketing programs to boost awareness, credibility and performance across Samsung’s ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with consumer and product marketing, proven ability to use product adoption and positioning to help generate demand across owned, earned and paid channels. Prior experience and deep knowledge of gaming is required – ideally with console, PC or streaming products. The role demands a mix of game industry knowledge, developer relations and product and growth marketing leadership.

Samsung Gaming is in an exciting period of growth and development and seeks a highly-skilled marketer comfortable leading the charge with evolving product offerings and technologies as the industry and our position in the gaming market progresses in 2025 and beyond. This product marketing lead will drive sustained engagement and growth for our gaming apps and services and manage the positioning and go-to-market launches of new product features and experiences. This individual will collaborate closely with leads across Product, Marketing, Communications, Partnerships & Events, and with our partners on the Hardware teams in North America and Suwon HQ. This highly visible role will report directly to the Director or Product Marketing and will be based in the NYC office with domestic travel.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute go-to-market plans for new product and feature launches, including positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies to maximize impact and adoption
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention of Gaming on Samsung TVs
  • Analyze gaming market trends, gamer behavior, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies and shape the value proposition development of new products and features
  • Oversee programming and execution of lifecycle comms, social media content, partner programs, industry events, and other marketing initiatives on and off-platform to achieve our business goals.
  • Collaborate with priority gaming partners and publishers to define a content marketing calendar, align marketing plans, and support their biggest titles and offers on our platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Business Development, Creative Studio, Communications & Event Management to ensure successful launches with a clear and cohesive marketing plan
  • Determine key metrics to track and measure the success of product marketing initiative and providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with product marketing, consumer products and/or campaign management, with brands and at companies with global scale.  Prior gaming marketing experience is required.
  • Deep experience leading go-to-market and campaign development from briefing to integrated execution and campaign performance assessment, including online video, digital and mobile ads, paid acquisition, social media, web, partnerships, comms and event activations. Experience in B2B marketing is a plus.
  • Ability to apply analytics rigor to measure, analyze, and report the impact of marketing initiatives, including brand lift, user acquisition, and retention/engagement.
  • Proven track record of partnering closely with Product, UX, and Research teams to successfully understand the needs of a target segment, develop product marketing solutions to meet those needs and launch gaming and tehnology products
  • Excellent communicator, able to clearly articulate strategic plans to senior level leadership, provide timely updates to executives, and ensure alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where teams may need to rapidly evolve plans as business priorities and opportunities change.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and focused on driving measurable business impact.
  • Experience partnering with external companies (partners, agencies, vendors, retailers) and influencing / managing up to executive, VP and cross-functional leadership.
  • Comfortable building as part of a smaller, scrappier team within a larger org.

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY, is expected to be between $160,000 ~ $200,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
