Project Manager and Business Development

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to manage projects and drive business growth within the automotive industry, with a particular focus on Mercedes-Benz. This dual role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and a strong business development acumen.
We are looking for a Project Manager with a background in Business Development. This position must be located in the greater, Vance, Alabama area.
You’ll make an impact by:
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee automotive projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets tailored to the automotive industry.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress and adjust as needed to meet the high standards of Mercedes-Benz.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Conduct risk management and mitigation strategies specific to PM@Siemens.
Business Development:
- Identify and prepare tenders for opportunities with Mercedes-Benz Vance plant.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders and strategic partners.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with a focus on long-term partnerships.
Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience with conveyor systems, particularly in their automation.
- Knowledge of the latest technologies and best practices in conveyor system automation.
- Ability to design, implement, and optimize automated conveyor systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining automated conveyor systems.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or technical college in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years proven experience of project management and business development within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred 3+ years of experience leading teams performing electrical installations in the automotive final assembly environment
- Experience with electrical planning and installation of automation equipment on conveyor systems especially Siemens control systems and TIA
- Experience with INTEGRA standard
- German or Spanish proficiency

- The pay range for this position is $89,670 - $153,720 and the annual incentive will be 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
