Apply now for the position of Staff Clinical Data Manager, and you will have a significant impact in shaping our diagnostics portfolio by ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical study data obtained from clinical studies conducted by Medical Affairs.

This role will report to the Senior Director of Clinical Data Management, Analytics, and Data Engineering.

Your role:

  • You will function as the data management study lead and point of contact within cross-functional product development teams. You will provide project leadership with respect to clinical data management activities to assigned product development projects and external collaborations.
  • You will lead all DM activities from study start-up though database archiving for multiple diagnostic trials. You may also be responsible for providing oversight of CRO data management activities for assigned studies.
  • You will be responsible for developing data management plans, database specifications, and database validation plans. You will implement specifications within the EDC system, monitor quality of data collected, initiate and resolve data queries, conduct database locks, and support data change management processes.
  • You will be track project milestones and deliverables that you are assigned, provide updates to functional and departmental management, and escalate issues for resolution as appropriate.
  • You will support development and maintenance of clinical data management study documentation, development and improvement of clinical data management processes and standard operating procedures, quality audits and inspections, and participate in data standards governance activities.
  • You will contribute to development of dashboards and analytics tools to improve the quality and predictability of clinical trials. 

Your expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, Information Systems, or Information Technology with 5-8 years of experience in clinical data entry and/or clinical data management. Candidates with a master’s degree are preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems such as Medidata RAVE, Medrio, Oracle Clinical, or Open Clinical for collecting and managing clinical study data.
  • Strong working knowledge within the areas of database systems and database programming, data standards and coding models (e.g. CDISC, MEDRA, WHO-DRUG, LOINC), data management processes, and industry best practices and regulatory requirements such as Good Clinical Data Management practices (GCDMP) and Good clinical practices (GCP). 
  • Experience and/or certifications in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Agile/SCRUM, Azure DevOps, Power BI or other dashboard environment (Qlik, Tableau), a data analysis focused programming language (R, Python, or SAS programming), SQL programming, and project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong desire to innovate and improve clinical data management practice and with strong interest in supporting data analytics.

The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $155,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed.
