Staff Software Engineer, Product

Role

We are looking for a product-focused Staff Software Engineer with a proven track record of delivering efficient solutions to complex challenges. In this role, youll collaborate closely with our Product and Design teams to develop new product ideas and enhance the architecture of our data, analytics, and workflow systems, both internally and for our client-facing products. Youll play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, guiding the Engineering team through the implementation process, and providing a clear roadmap for execution. This position demands exceptional problem-solving skills, effective project management, leadership, and communication abilities, as well as a demonstrated history of tackling complex, cross-domain issues.

This role is fully remote within the US.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and launch new features and improve the overall quality of our internal and external apps
• Collaborate across disciplines to understand our users and iterate on new ideas
• Improve our analytical tools, workflow, or existing architecture
• Protect patients’ privacy through secure coding practices
• Support our apps and systems in production
• Act as a leader and mentor in the Engineering organization

Your qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• Expertise in TypeScript (preferred) or modern JavaScript
• Familiarity with React, NodeJS, Docker, and a major cloud provider
• Experience with one or more database systems, especially PostgreSQL
• Experience running an agile process for a team and fluency with the agile toolkit
• Experience working with product managers and end users to structure requirements into user stories
• Experience working at startups, especially in the health tech space

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Youre a former startup founder, or have been the first engineering hire at a startup
• Experience building complex data visualization applications
• Experience with Snowflake
