About The Team

Our primary goal is to support the SmartThings mobile application, as well as other initiatives across the company. Working in a fast-paced environment, we collaborate with cloud and mobile engineers to implement new features and maintain a secure and stable application experience for our users.

Key Responsibilities

This position is a hybrid role, based onsite 3 days a week at our office in Mountain View, CA.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include the following:

Implement new features in existing mobile applications for iOS
Triage, debug and resolve software issues found in the mobile applications
Lead and innovate in projects that are not fully defined and influence direction as appropriate
Collaborate with other mobile engineers from around the world to create simple and scalable solutions for new features and improvements to existing functionality
Write clean code and follow best practices with excellent test automation coverage
Proactively identify areas for improvement/strategy within team area, and clearly communicate action plans across teams and cultures
Participate in peer code reviews and scrums
Mentor other engineers and provide direction to more junior members of the team
Work within established infrastructure and quickly become familiar with SmartThings’ tools and systems

Base compensation range for this position is $162,544 to $243,816. Actual base within this range will depend on many factors including experience, skills, technical expertise and market alignment. In addition, this role is eligible for a 20% annual target bonus based heavily on individual performance.
