Job Description: 
Softrams, a Tria Federal company, is seeking an Automation Test Engineer/SDET with strong experience using Selenium/Gauge/Taiko to join a collaborative and agile team that supports and builds modern, standards-based responsive web application for mission-critical health IT solutions.

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation.  
  • Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States.  
  • Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years.  
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 Years related experience in related field; master’s degree with 3 years of experience 
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of Automation testing experience using one or more frameworks like Selenium/Cucumber/Gauge/cypress/TestNG 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with automation testing concepts, framework & best practices from industry in automating web applications. 
  • Experience creating automation for Angular applications. 
  • Experience with sources control tools like git. 
  • Experience with working in agile team. 
  • Familiarity with writing database scripts for backend validation. 
  • Excellent knowledge in designing and implementing customized test automation frameworks as needed.  
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript and SQL 
  • Familiarity with testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger. 
  • Experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. 
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases and test plans. 
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins or CodeBuild. 
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). 
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. 
  • Good knowledge in using various IDEs like Vs code, IntelliJ 
  • Experience with collaboration and tracking tools, such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA and Confluence 
  • Strong written and verbal communication.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop automated test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements. 
  • Execute test scripts during internal system testing. 
  • Document test issues and works with development team to validate/recreate. 
  • Perform retesting and regression testing. 
  • Document test results for incorporation into the Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrix. 
  • Provide support to Client testers during acceptance testing, including test script walkthroughs, document testing issues and test results, and answering questions on system functionality. 
  • Develop and implement program test plans, quality assurance plans, programs, and procedures using the testing tools. 
  • Work with agile team members to make sure functional objectives are met. 
  • Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. 
  • Contribute to team discussion and agile ceremonies. 
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that tests are integrated into the development process. 
  • Conduct code reviews to identify potential issues before they reach testing. 
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks. 
  • Keep up to date with the latest testing tools and techniques. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve testing processes and methodologies. 
  • Create and maintain test data sets to support testing activities. 
  • Provide guidance and training to other members of the testing team.

Public Trust Clearance:
This role requires the hired candidate to go through public trust clearance. A minimum of 3 years of stay in the U.S. within the last 5 years is required to be eligible to qualify for public trust clearance sponsorship. 
 
Work Location:
We have open-collaboration offices in Leesburg, VA, Arlington, VA, and Baltimore, MD for those who may prefer to work on-site. However, Softrams, a Tria Federal Company, is a 100% remote-first team environment and works in the eastern time zone. Standard work hours are 9am ET to 5pm ET with flexibility around start and end times based on team needs.
