The Automotive Camera group of the Sony Semiconductor Solutions America Division (SSS-A) of Sony Electronics, currently has an opening for an Expert Product Management Specialist in their Novi, MI location. This position is to take over current Automotive Camera customers and plan and carry out all sales and marketing activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery and be able to build productive internal and external working relationships.
Responsibilities
Prepare sales budget, action plans and strategies for the assigned projects and customers.
Develop and maintain sales and promotional materials for creating new RFQ opportunities.
Plan and conduct direct marketing activities and negotiate the pricing with customers to get new RFQs.
Interfaces with Japan marketing and engineering members to develop customers’ product and prepare required documents.
Validate customers’ demand/sales trend and create sales forecast with Operation team.
Maintain customer relationship at various customer levels.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers.
Annual Cost Reduction and Cost increase negotiation with customers
Obtain prototype sample information and support the customers’ development process with engineering team.
Issue and maintain important project commercial information
Investigate competitors/market conditions and carry out market research and surveys
Maintain the pricing list and manage sales.
Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports for managements.
Assist and support internal other members such like Engineering, Operation and QA team as a sales representative.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or related field of study
5+ years of proven work experiences for sales, marketing, account management, or similar experience in automotive industry
Have excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with automotive makers’ development process and automotive market trend
Willing to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones (i.e. weekly conference call with Japan team)
Work both independently and in a team environment
Located in the Detroit Michigan Metro Area
Able to work in the office in Novi, Michigan and remotely from home
Able to travel internationally and domestically
Preferred Skills
Experiences working with or for Japanese Automotive companies
Japanese language skills
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $101,007 to $134,675. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
