We are hiring a Director of Finance to head our Finance team!

Key Responsibilities ✨

In this role you will…

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Help execute the companys financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support decision-making at the executive and board level.
  • Partner with the CFO, and other leaders to drive the company’s growth strategy, including M&A opportunities if applicable.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Monitor key SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, churn, LTV, CAC, etc.) and provide actionable insights to optimize growth and profitability.
  • Develop scenario planning and financial modeling to assess risks and opportunities.

Accounting and Compliance
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting, including monthly close, financial statements, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Cash Flow and Capital Management
  • Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and growth initiatives.
  • Work with external advisors and investors to optimize the company’s capital structure.

Team Leadership and Development
  • Partner with the CFo to build a high-performing finance team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, HR, etc.) to align financial goals with operational priorities.

Systems and Process Improvement
  • Optimize financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
  • Automate routine financial processes and implement scalable systems to support growth.

Regulatory and Risk Management
  • Manage compliance with tax regulations and filings in Canada and other jurisdictions as required.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
