Role Title : AVP, Business Intelligence Process (L10)

Role Summary/Purpose:
AVP, Business Intelligence Process (IC role) is a part of India Analytics Hub & BI Org. The role involves supporting Business Intelligence & Reporting (BI&R) L3 process requirements, working with BI and Analytics teams (US and India) and Contractors. Areas of work include enhancing reporting in-take process, inventory management, development and deployment of reporting process risks and control measures, evidence management, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as BI&R subject-matter expert to answer procedural questions and clarify process risk control execution & evidence requirements.
Facilitate the monthly reporting inventory process working across Reporting Process Champions (RPCs) and Analytics teams to get updates to the inventory. Maintain evidence as required, procedurally.
Coordinate annual process risk controls across all Analytics pillars, following up with RPCs and Analytic Team Leads to ensure controls are completed, and document evidence.
Execute a risk-based random sampling approach to provide over-sight to procedural controls being consistently executed and evidence captured. Test effectiveness of control design and make recommendations for improvements based on findings.
Support the current inventory of reports, when needed, by testing and executing job aids and publishing findings.
Write and execute communications and training materials or sessions as needed to support process execution, improvements, and change management. Facilitate training set up and assignments with L&D Team.
Administer SharePoint and maintain job-aides, templates, training and documentation library.
Manage projects to execute process improvement and change management implementation.
Provide ad hoc data and analytics support for the L3 process such as report generation and root cause analysis.
Perform special assignments and other duties, as required.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Min 4 years of experience in working or supporting business intelligence/reporting or equivalent processes
Min 3 years of experience in risk assessment and management for data, reporting or equivalent processes
Knowledge of BI and project management tools and practices with high proficiency in MS-Excel, PPT and Word.
Ability to manage complexity/ambiguity and deliver measurable results
Ability to work in matrix organization, consensus building and superior coordination skills
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including data, BI and analytics leaders, governance leads, risk and internal audit teams, etc.
Exposure of working with/in internal audit or process governance team and with vendors
Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or equivalent
Good understanding of reporting and risk management processes in financial services industry
Strong project management, multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Functional knowledge of marketing, sales, digital and finance would be a plus
Eligibility Criteria:
Degree in Commerce, Science, Arts, Economics, Engineering, or any equivalent stream with 4+ years of relevant experience. Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of specified degree.
Work Timings: This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
