Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose: 

The AVP, Process Assessment Governance Support is responsible for supporting the CD & Sales Enterprise Governance organization through the development and execution of Quality Assurance Assessments and supporting the VP, Regulatory and Control Function Leader.  This role spans all Commercial Platforms and assists in managing client compliance with Synchrony and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate data within eGRC and documenting various processes within Enterprise Governance. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the delivery of system and process updates related to the RCSA program and will closely partner with our Process Owners and Control leaders sharing thematic and specific findings to enhance and improve our process universe.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner across our CD & Sales Governance organization to execute Quality Assurance (QA) routines for CD & Sales governance activities.

  • Propose and deliver expanded QA routines based on the growth of our governance pillars as well as prior outcome findings.

  • Provide insights and reporting regarding findings from the QA process across the CD & Sales governance organization for appropriate actions.

  • Collaborate with Insights and Implementation governance team to identify, collect and manage the sample data/coding processes and requirements in support of the quality assurance process.

  • Manage identified defects identified via the QA process through a closed loop process for findings that require action.

  • Own the creation, maintenance, and wing to wing management for job aids owned by the CD & Sales Enterprise Governance team. This includes the identification, review and renewal process, retention site and tracking of any exceptions.

  • Engage with control owners for the identification, review and enhancement of existing control documentation.

  • Maintain eGRC updates for the CD & Sales Process Universe as it relates to Risk and Control Owners.

  • Participate in Risk Testing engagements and Internal Audits as needed.

  • Maintain the Testing/Audit repository of all artifacts and documentation.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Bachelors Degree or in lieu of degree, a High School Diploma / GED and 5+ years of Financial Services experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Client eco-systems functions such as Commercial, Marketing, Credit, or Technology.

  • 2+ years of demonstrated support or ownership of Quality Assurance practices and processes.

  • 1+ years’ demonstrated knowledge of CD & Sales objectives and processes.

  • Working understanding of SYF Process Universe and CTCs/CTQs.  

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects, organize workflow, and prioritize work assignments.

Grade/Level: 10

                                                                                  

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

                    

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
